- For conditions caused by excess production of stomach acids leading to the Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, the treatment is spread over a longer duration with specific instructions on the kind of foods to avoid such as spicy food. There is great emphasis on taking regular meals and the need to avoid skipping meals, particularly break fast.
